MAY
26TH MATCH v ARMY (JUBILEE CUP) - ABT, SKEET & SPORTING
& KARIZMA CUP - 25 BIRD ABT & 25 SKEET
& JOE POWER'S GOZOME - SPORTING SHOOT
The match consists of 25 ABT & 25 Skeet shot in the morning and 50 Sporting shot in the afternoon.
The cost of the match will be €20 per firer plus the cost of cartridges used at the usual €5 per box.
The outline timings are as follows:
By 9am Arrive at Ground
9.30am First Squads on ABT & Skeet
There will be 7 Squads starting at approximately 25/30 minute intervals
By 1pm All ABT & Skeet finished
Any ABT/Skeet Tie shoots.
Lunch Roger Oakes will be on hand to sell Burgers & Hot Dogs
2pm approx Sporting starts. Again 7 Squads of 6 firers and 5, 6 or 7 stands dependant on Army team layout
4pm (ish) Sporting Completed
Any Sporting Tie shoots
6.30pm Prize Giving and Evening Function - This will commence at 6.30pm with food, provided by Shalimar, being served at 7.30pm. There will be a non curry option, possibly Beef Stroganoff, for those who are not Curry fans. The cost is likely to be €12 per head, thus members will be required to pay only €7 due to the subsidy previously mentioned.
There will also be a Quiz, part set by our Resident Quizmaster, John Penneyston, and part set by Ged Argyle.
I hope that you can all come and help retain the Jubilee Cup once again and have an enjoyable social afterwards.
30TH BRITISH FORCES CYPRUS CT CHAMPS 100 BIRD SPORTRAP
at NICOSIA OLYMPIC SG. Registration 8am, concluding 3pm.
This will be an Individual and Team Competition (Teams of 3) over 4 x 25 bird Compak Sporting (computer controlled and voice activated) layouts in the following categories, Service, UKBC/UKD, Service Veteran and Open with Classes for Junior (under 21), Ladies, Veteran (between 55 & 64) and Super Veteran (over 65). Entry Fees are €30 per Individual and Victory 28g or 24g ammunition may be purchased at €5 per box at the ground. There will be monetary prizes for High Guns in each Category & Class, as well as trophies and medals.
